Two way slab :

If the ratio of long span to short span is less than or equal to 2 ,

The slab is to be defined as two way slab or slab spanning in one direction.



One Way slab :

If the ratio of long span to short span is greater than or equal to 2,

The slab is to be defined as one way slab or slab spanning in one direction.
